The VME-SCC16 module is a 16-channel serial communication controller featuring 4K FIFO per line. It is based on eight enhanced Z85230 chips, offering larger FIFOs and several SDLC improvements from Zilog. This module provides sixteen asynchronous ports capable of speeds up to 230 kbaud and synchronous ports up to 2 Mbaud, supporting full-duplex channels. Each channel has an independent baud rate generator. The VME-SCC16 module supports various interfaces, including RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485.
