The PMC-SCC04Z-x-y module is a quad-channel serial communication controller featuring 128-byte FIFOs per line, based on four enhanced Z85233 chips from Zilog. It offers improved SDLC handling and larger FIFOs compared to standard controllers. The module supports four asynchronous ports up to 230 kbaud and synchronous ports up to 2 Mbaud full-duplex, with independent baud rate generators for each channel. It is compatible with RS-232 and RS-422/RS-485 interfaces, making it versatile for various serial communication applications
